Employee Relations Expert

About the Role
This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Employee Relations professional to join Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust as a Senior HR Advisor. The successful candidate will have senior HR experience, including trade union relationship management and highly specialist ER knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex and high-complexity ER casework from start to finish, providing effective, comprehensive, and professional employee relations advisory services to individual cases and teams.
- Advise and support managers and ER colleagues in organisational change, ensuring formal consultation with staff representatives and staff is carried out effectively and within agreed timescales.
- Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of Employee Relations, policies, procedures, and good practice to managers and teams.
- Coach and develop individual line managers across the organisation, enabling them to increase their competency in dealing with ER issues and protecting the Trust from risk of litigation.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all trade unions and workplace representatives through both formal and informal networks.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Senior HR experience, including trade union relationship management
- Highly specialist ER knowledge
- Ability to establish credibility and good relationships with internal and external staff
- Excellent communication, facilitation, training, and presentation skills
- Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite
Salary
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £45,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
