About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our Education team at Progression House School. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and young people with their educational activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering educational activities
  • Support young people with their learning and behaviour
  • Establish good relationships with pupils and act as a role model
  • Respond to individual needs and adapt practice as necessary
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the Education team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience supporting in a classroom setting
  • A Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) relevant to the teaching and learning environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
