Chief Operations Finance Officer

We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations Finance to join our team at Refresco.
As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for operational finance across 6 sites in the UK, reporting to the Business Unit Controller and leading a team of 5.
Your key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing financial planning and control for Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Procurement, as well as Head Office, including month-end and budgeting processes.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand, report, and forecast costs, leveraging insights to improve business outcomes.
- Driving continuous improvement across finance functions and evaluating capital expenditure proposals to maximize returns.
- Participating in S&OP and other meetings to address financial performance issues and implement solutions.
- Investigating financial variances with senior leaders and developing corrective actions to enhance performance.
- Ensuring compliance with financial controls, accurate period-end reporting, and timely completion of financial documentation.
- Managing site-level financial reporting, supplier claims, and the development of key financial measures; supporting 'finance self-service' initiatives and handling ad hoc projects as needed.
- Leading balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and adequate support for reported assets and liabilities.
About You
We are looking for an outstanding people leader with a deep understanding of manufacturing, ACCA or CIMA qualified, and previous Operations Finance experience.
You will need to have previous team leadership experience, with clear, organized, structured leadership and objective setting.
Influencing internal stakeholders is also a key aspect of this role, as you will work closely with site General Managers and other senior leaders, challenging assumptions and providing insightful analysis.
We are a fast-paced and demanding environment, and you will need to be comfortable working at this level.
Finally, you will need to use your experience and knowledge to provide suggestions and insights for appropriate courses of action to address cost issues on the sites.
