We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Operator to join our team in the Preston area. As a Class 2 HGV driver, you will be responsible for safely operating and driving heavy goods vehicles to transport goods, loading and unloading efficiently, adhering to road safety regulations and company policies, and conducting vehicle inspections.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers looking for a new challenge. With a valid Class 2 HGV licence and CPC qualification, you will have the skills and knowledge to excel in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and drive Class 2 HGV vehicles to transport goods across the UK
  • Loading and unloading in a secure and efficient manner to prevent damage and ensure timely delivery
  • Adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment
  • Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any issues or concerns
Requirements
  • Valid Class 2 HGV licence with a clean driving record
  • Valid CPC qualification with experience as a Class 2 HGV driver
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary

The successful candidate can expect a competitive hourly rate of £14.60, inclusive of holiday pay.
