Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to join our team. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient order management across sites and ERP systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to join a stable and expanding family-owned company to manage day-to-day material orders in a fast-paced and reactive environment. You will be responsible for managing relationships, cost-reducing activities, and ensuring continuous improvement across the ERP systems.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement, with experience in cost savings, cultivating connections with suppliers, and broadening knowledge and comprehension of the Civil Engineering industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Raise and issue orders based on specifications
- Assist with Lean procurement process
- Work within a team and support other departments
- Maintain and build new relationships
- Previous Buying experience
- Engineering, Construction, Utilities, Civils and Infrastructures background
- Proficient in Microsoft packages
- CIPS level 3 qualification - desired but not essential
