Job Overview

Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Diagnostic Imaging Department as a Radiographer Assistant Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in a proactive and innovative hospital environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to our radiology team, working across all community sites, including the new out-patient centre in South Walks House in Dorchester. As an Assistant Practitioner, you will be expected to work in one or more modalities of the department, utilizing your existing skills and knowledge to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Duties of the Job

As a Radiographer Assistant Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to radiographers and other members of the imaging team
  • Assisting with patient preparation and scanning procedures
  • Contributing to the maintenance of a safe and efficient working environment
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development

Person Specification

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A foundation degree or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography
  • Experience in the NHS
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
