Job Title: Senior Systems Safety Specialist

We are recruiting for a number of experienced Systems and Safety Engineers to join our team at Morson Talent. This role will involve conducting safety assessments and supporting projects on all safety issues, working closely with project leadership and other engineers in a variety of disciplines.

About the Role:
In this challenging and rewarding position, you will use your safety analysis skills across the full system lifecycle, from requirements analysis to system integration and acceptance testing. Your work may be assigned to various aerospace projects, including radar systems for fighter jets and surveillance radars.

Main Responsibilities:
- Conducting safety assessments and identifying hazards using functional failure analyses and other techniques
- Investigating identified hazards and implementing necessary mitigations to reduce safety risks
- Collaborating with project leadership and other engineers to design and develop solutions

Requirements:
- Proven experience in systems safety engineering and risk assessment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Educational Background:

The estimated salary for this role is £78,400 per annum, based on a 37.5-hour working week and 3 days per week on-site in Newcastle or Edinburgh.
