Specialist Behaviour Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Specialist Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at Protocol National Limited. This exciting opportunity will see you working in an Alternative Provision school based in Colchester, supporting Primary students with challenging behaviour.
As a Specialist Behaviour Support Worker, you will work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure the students receive the best possible education and care. Your experience of dealing with challenging behaviour will be invaluable in this role, particularly if you have previously worked in KS1/KS2 classrooms.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents. Holding a driving licence would be beneficial, as there may be occasions when you need to travel to other sites for cover (mileage will be reimbursed).
In addition to your teaching and behaviour management skills, we are looking for someone who is proactive, patient, and able to work well under pressure. Previous restraint training and knowledge of TPP practice would be advantageous.
This is a full-time position, with hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am to 4:00pm on Friday. The salary for this role is approximately £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
