Position Overview

As a GFX Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational readiness of all designated GFX Equipment to meet Naval Harbour Acceptance Trial (HAT) Standards. Your responsibilities will encompass maintenance activities in accordance with the Unit Maintenance Management System (UMMS) as well as Non-UMMS maintenance protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure GFX equipment and infrastructure according to RFMS to fulfill the requirements of the Trials Programme.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all assigned GFX equipment in compliance with UMMS, BRs, JSPs, and OEM documentation.
  • Guarantee that GFX equipment is safe, maintained, available, and properly configured for daily trials scheduled on RFMS.
  • Collaborate effectively with Combat Systems Engineers, teams, and clients to provide expert support, advice, and maintenance presence during trials requiring assistance, including in situ support. This will involve fault diagnosis, defect resolution, equipment reconfiguration, and supporting monthly System Operator Checks as directed by the Operations Team.
  • Manage and investigate GFX defects in accordance with relevant documentation, logging defects on RFMS, updating them regularly, and keeping the Operations Team informed.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a maintenance role, specifically focused on Communication Systems.
