We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Education Cover Supervisor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising PE lessons and activities, ensuring that students remain engaged and active.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise PE lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, maintaining a safe and productive environment.
  • Support the planning and delivery of PE activities and sports events.
  • Encourage student participation and enthusiasm for physical activities.
  • Assist in the setup and organisation of equipment for PE lessons.
  • Maintain discipline and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and engagement.
  • Covering general classes.
  • Supporting with staffing gaps within school on a daily basis.
  • Provide support to the PE department and other school activities as needed.

Requirements:

  • A strong interest and passion for physical education and sports.
  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a school or sports setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate students effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices in a PE environment.
  • A relevant qualification in physical education or sports coaching is desirable but not essential.
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of students.
