About the Role

The Partnerships Housing Manager will play a crucial role in the delivery of Affordable Homes across the business, working closely with the Director to ensure adherence to contractual and planning requirements, budget, and timescales. Key responsibilities will include advising on achievable affordable revenues, negotiating contracts with registered provider clients, and liaising with local authorities regarding housing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on achievable affordable revenues and negotiate contracts with registered provider clients
  • Liaise with local authorities regarding housing requirements
  • Assist in the delivery of Affordable Homes across the business
  • Work closely with the Director to ensure adherence to contractual and planning requirements, budget, and timescales

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a housing association, residential house builder/developer, or local authority
  • Experience of negotiating Section 106 agreements and affordable housing contracts
  • Housing/Construction background within development team
  • Strong understanding of the sale and purchase process for land & property on a freehold and leasehold basis
  • Thorough understanding of the housing development process
  • Project management and financial skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Understanding of social housing mix standards and funding of future programmes
  • Strong team player with ability to work independently to meet deadlines
