Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

As a key member of the AccorHotel team, the Maintenance Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the day-to-day maintenance operations of Sofitel London St James. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems to diagnose and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians to ensure their productivity and adherence to safety standards.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Provide technical support and offer a hands-on role within the department to carry out works including plumbing, painting & decorating, carpentry, general building works, and minor electrical and mechanical engineering work.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly, minimizing their impact on facility operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and repairs.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of maintenance projects and competitive pricing.
  • Carry out administrative duties, including record-keeping with regard to the team, PPM updates, contractors (management), and financial statutory and non-statutory requirements within the department and hotel.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Experience in maintenance management or supervision, preferably in a hotel environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Entitled to work in the UK.
