Design Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team and take on a new scheme of cut & carve, demolition, and new build elements including RC frame and CLT structures.

This scheme is located in NW London, commutable on the Northern or Bakerloo lines.

About the Role

As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for driving the design programme for the RC structures and overseeing the subsequent delivery, as well as overseeing the latter stages of close out and handover of the other 3 blocks.

Following the completion of this scheme, you will have the opportunity to lead a new scheme from preconstruction to handover; typical schemes are £10m-£30m and blend cut & carve/heavy refurbishment and new build.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the design programme for RC structures
  • Oversee the delivery of the design programme
  • Oversee the latter stages of close out and handover of other blocks
  • Lead a new scheme from preconstruction to handover
Requirements
  • Background as a Design Manager in residential main contracting
  • Familiarity with RC frame design and construction
  • Ability to pick up a project mid-way through
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to drive a consultant team to deliver on programme
