Veritas Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated teacher to fill a Year 4/5 Mixed Class Teacher position at one of our partner schools in Burnley.

Job Title: Teacher of Diversity and Inclusion

A temporary position has become available, starting in January. This role is expected to last until the end of the academic year with potential for a permanent position.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced teacher who can work effectively with children of varying abilities, including those with SEN.

About the Role:

As a Teacher of Diversity and Inclusion, your primary responsibility will be to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN.

  1. Develop and implement lesson plans that promote inclusivity and respect.
  2. Create a positive and supportive classroom environment.
  3. Collaborate with the SENCo and other staff to develop effective learning strategies and interventions.
  4. Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and report regularly to parents and senior leadership.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
  1. Proven experience teaching Year 4/5 pupils, preferably with SEN experience.
  2. A deep understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and strategies to support children with additional needs.
  3. The ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet diverse learner needs.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working effectively with pupils, parents, and staff.

This position offers a salary within the MPS/UPS range (£30,480 - £42,780) based on experience, providing an exciting opportunity for teachers to make a real difference in the lives of students.
