Senior Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Professional to join our team in the North East UK region. As an Account Manager for Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry instruments, consumables and software, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and developing existing accounts within the Pharmaceutical, Academia, Chemicals, Food and Beverage, Environmental and other sectors.
The ideal candidate will have 1+ year's experience in a field-based sales or account management role, selling life sciences or analytical chemistry equipment and/or consumables or services. A degree-level qualification in a Biological, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Analytical Science discipline is required, along with excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to travel within your defined geographical area and occasionally to facilities across Europe is essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading manufacturer and supplier of scientific technology that accelerates live-saving scientific research. The salary package includes a negotiable base salary, 25% OTE (fully uncapped earning's potential), fully expensed company car, private healthcare, pension and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify prospective buyers of premium award-winning Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry instruments, consumables and software in the North East of England
- Expand market share for HPLC, Gas Chromatography, Liquid Chromatography, Ion Chromatography, Elemental and related consumables and software
- Maintain accurate and complete customer data and sales project information in the company sales database
- Closely work with colleagues in scientific sales and service groups to ensure high customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- 1+ year's experience in field-based sales or account management role
- Degree-level qualification in Biological, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Analytical Science discipline
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to identify new target accounts and develop territory plans
- A valid UK driving license and passport with full right to work in the UK without any restrictions or sponsorship requirements
