Teach Now is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with a young girl in Reception who has ASD and is non-verbal. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and techniques for supporting non-verbal communication.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide 1:1 support to a girl who is in Reception, focusing on her specific needs and tailored lesson plans.
  2. Assist with differentiated learning materials and monitor progress, adapting support strategies as required.
  3. Build a strong, trusting relationship with the student to create a safe and engaging classroom environment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, LSA, or working with children with ASD and Non Verbal.
  • A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with both students and staff.
  • A relevant qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
  • Candidate needs to have curriculum knowledge.
