Job Title: Child Development Specialist

Location: Essex

Salary Range: £14,439 - £14,884 per annum

This role is a fixed-term position for 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 08:45 to 14:45 with an unpaid lunch break.

We are seeking an experienced Child Development Specialist to support a child with an EHCP. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development principles and be able to modify planning to suit the needs of the child/children.

The successful applicant must be able to work closely with the class teacher, Senco, and other staff members to develop and implement individualized plans, and use their own initiative to support the child in making the best possible progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized plans for children with SEN in collaboration with class teachers and Senco.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to teaching staff on strategies for supporting students with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate records of child progress and attendance.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting students with SEN.
