The role of a Supply Chain Coordinator is to play a key part in delivering a competitive supply chain through strategic and operational procurement. You will work closely with the procurement team and internal stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the procurement process are managed effectively and efficiently. This includes leading and managing the delivery of a competitive supply chain through strategic and operational procurement, as well as ensuring integrity and compliance with internal systems, processes, and procedures.

About the Role:
  • Lead and manage the procurement team and department, focusing on commercial and operational benefits.
  • Ensure continuity and expansion of the supply chain while maintaining competitive price solutions for increased profitability.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Select suitable suppliers, prepare and issue enquiries, and carry out quotation analysis and evaluation.
  • Negotiate and agree contracts for goods and services in line with budget requirements.
  • Support and assist Project Quantity Surveyors in selecting and appointing project-specific labour teams and sub-contractors.


Requirements:
  • Very good Excel skills.
  • Qualified or part-qualified professional (CIPS, CIOB or RICS) would be an advantage.
  • Educated to a minimum GCSE level.


Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum

This role will be based near Swindon, working three days in the office and two from home. We are looking for a buyer who can work independently, but also collaborates effectively with the team.
