Job Description:

We are seeking an Academic Appeals Specialist to join our team at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the Directorate of Education & Training, you will be responsible for providing expert advice to the Directorate of Education & Training on policies and procedures relating to student casework, coordinating and overseeing efficient and effective student casework processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure incoming cases are triaged quickly to identify if any urgent action is required in relation to safeguarding concerns or the welfare needs of those involved in the case, or the wider Trust community
  • Provide support at case conferences and other meetings including Fitness to Practice and/or Fitness to Study panels, taking accurate minutes and accurately recording actions and following up with the appropriate staff to check those actions have been taken

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Relevant work experience and/or education in education (HE/FE), the legal profession, and/or customer service

Estimated Salary: £41,000 - £46,000 per annum
