The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and executing buying strategies for product portfolios, monitoring supplier performance, and negotiating prices and productivity plans.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute buying strategies for product portfolios
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure suppliers can support business growth
  • Negotiate prices and productivity plans
  • Compliance check for new suppliers, ensuring all necessary reports and documentation are in place
  • Handle exclusivity agreements, tenders, and contracts
  • Maintain timely communication with stakeholders to ensure clarity in decision-making and follow-up
  • Stay informed on category trends, market dynamics, product innovations, and competitor activities

Requirements:

  • 2-3+ years of experience in retail food or FMCG
  • Operated at a Buyer, Category Buyer/Manager, Junior Buyer, or Trading Manager level
  • Exceptional negotiation and supplier experience
  • Experience with developing and maintaining positive supplier relationships
  • Experienced using SAP or Excel
  • Flexible for business travel, approximately 1 every 6 weeks for EU travel
