We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Stacatruc HQ. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a range of material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components, including hydraulic valves and rams, final drive and gearbox components, and engines.
  • Servicing: Perform thorough examinations and preventative maintenance tasks, such as lubricating steering and lifting equipment, changing oil and filters, and inspecting brakes and lifting assemblies.
  • Overhaul: Complete partial strip-downs of forklift trucks, prepare and clean chassis, and bolt or weld on ancillaries.
  • Battery Maintenance: Check voltages and fluid levels, using meters and hydrometers.
  • New Used Equipment Preparation: Inspect and prepare gas, diesel, and electric forklift trucks for delivery, using manufacturer check-sheets to ensure specifications meet customer requirements.

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Diagnostics computer skills
  • Qualifications in related field or similar years' experience
  • Able to work unsupervised as required
  • Experience in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering in heavy goods/plant machinery/automotive
