About the Role

The Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Specialist to join its team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing holistic health and social care assessments for individuals over 18 years old.

As a member of our integrated team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and nurses, to deliver rehabilitation programmes and support patients in achieving their goals.

Key responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living, supporting the implementation of care plans, and engaging patients in therapeutic activities. You will also be responsible for undertaking delegated clinical tasks, such as venepuncture and wound care, under the supervision of registered therapists and nurses.

This role requires basic computer literacy and the ability to document care delivered on RiO. A car driver with access to a car for work is also essential.

What We Offer

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • NVQ in Health and Social Care
  • Completed Phlebotomy course
  • 12 months NHS Experience
