Financial Accountant

We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at AXA Partners UK & Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the balance sheet reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide guidance and training on best practices for balance sheet reconciliation
- Support internal and external audits, addressing findings related to balance sheet accounts across the 5 UK managed entities
- Assist in preparing annual statutory accounts and statutory reporting for multiple entities
- Manage tax matters including VAT, indirect tax controls, and ad hoc tax queries for the UK and Ireland activities
- Promote and manage change within the finance function, identifying weaknesses in processes and controls and implementing solutions
- Perform monthly permanent control checks for Group and ad-hoc internal control checks as necessary
As a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with previous experience in insurance/re-insurance accounting, you will bring a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a keen attention to detail, will enable you to thrive in this role.
