About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Auditor to join our team. As a Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of financial reporting and auditing are carried out in a timely and efficient manner, in accordance with prescribed systems and procedures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare management accounts and complete them on time, accurately, and thoroughly.
  • Complete all sections of the accounts file and pass them on for manager review.
  • Prepare complex assignments for manager review and utilize junior staff on more simple assignments.
  • Support trainees and help with the development of their knowledge and skills.
  • Review annual accounts prepared by juniors and finalize them.
  • Conduct audits effectively, utilizing and planning junior staff effectively, and overseeing their work standard.
  • Play an active part in assisting the manager in audit planning, field work, and completion.
  • Deal with complex business tax computations, including corporation tax, and prepare personal tax returns for manager/director review.
  • Deliver the service and develop the relationship with clients, recognizing and addressing their needs.
  • Take every opportunity to encourage the uptake of wider, added-value services.
Requirements
  • Experience in ensuring that all aspects of financial reporting and auditing are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Chargeable time target of 60%+ for self and direct reports.
  • Quality of files: neat, accurate, complete, on time, and showing initiative.
  • Personal and professional development: progression on course of study (if applicable), SWAT courses, development of soft skills, attendance record, and relative situation compared to colleagues.
  • Knowledge and skills: analytical thinking skills, QuickBooks, online cloud accounting, knowledge of accounts, Autoentry/HubDoc, administration skills, IRIS, excellent communication skills, virtual Cabinet, proficiency in MS Office, practice Engine, team working, organized with good time management skills, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, Xero, Sage, and personal qualities such as comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, reliable with good timekeeping, dedicated, confidentiality, integrity, adaptable, and able to manage several jobs simultaneously.
