About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Bigblue Search Ltd. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the success of our clients' high-end construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost plans, bills of quantities, and tender documents to ensure accurate project budgets and timelines.
- Manage project budgets and prepare cash flow forecasts to minimize financial risks and ensure project profitability.
- Conduct thorough cost analysis and value engineering exercises to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Prepare regular progress reports and provide expert advice on commercial and contractual matters to stakeholders.
- Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to ensure value for money and optimal project outcomes.
- Manage change control and variations to ensure project scope and timelines are maintained.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential cost overruns, and provide expert advice on site management.
- Assess and minimize commercial and contractual risks to ensure project success.
- Provide expert advice on procurement strategies to optimize project outcomes.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Experience managing projects in the high-end construction market, with a focus on luxury fit-out and refurbishment.
- Personable and people-friendly approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer:
Competitive salary ranges from £50,000 to £90,000, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
