About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic individual to join our team as an Eye Screening Technician. As part of our national diabetic eye screening programme, you will be responsible for running local clinics to see service users and photograph their eyes to assess for diabetic retinopathy.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent customer-focused skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. You will also need to be organised, able to prioritise tasks, and work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run local clinics to screen patients for diabetic retinopathy
  • Photograph patients' eyes and assess images for signs of disease
  • Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs including grades A-C in English, Maths, and a Science subject or equivalent
