We are seeking a motivated and driven individual to join our team as a Mechanical Systems and Project Engineer at BMW Group Plant Hams Hall. This 13-month placement will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting projects and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all facilities and processes are in place to support new engine variants and technical upgrades to new model introduction.
  • Use support systems for data management and analysis, including programming and the creation of visualisation software.
  • Facility management, including update and upgrade facilities for process improvement activities.
  • Support Engineer with project management activities, including leading project review meetings and managing the expedition of tasks.
  • Prepare process documentation.
  • Verify Test and measurement data by being able to discern measurement results and plan next steps.
  • Support and sometimes lead technical investigations to support area goals and come up with resolutions for problems.

Requirements:

  • Studying towards a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Production, Mechatronics) and on track to achieve a 2:2 or above.
  • Industrial experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • A systematic approach to problem solving.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work diligently as an individual, with minimum supervision, or as part of a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent IT skills (in particular Excel, PowerPoint etc).
