Mechanical Systems and Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team as a Mechanical Systems and Project Engineer at BMW Group Plant Hams Hall. As a key member of our Product Audit and Performance Test department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all Powertrain units built at Hams Hall conform to the Engineering Design specifications and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all facilities and processes are in place to support new engine variants and technical upgrades to new model introduction.
- Using support systems for data management and analysis, including programming and the creation of visualisation software.
- Facility management, including update and upgrade of facilities for process improvement activities.
- Supporting Engineer with project management activities, including leading project review meetings and managing the expedition of tasks.
- Preparing process documentation.
- Verifying Test and measurement data by being able to discern measurement results and plan next steps.
- Supporting and sometimes leading technical investigations to support area goals and come up with resolutions for problems.
Requirements:
- Studying towards a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Production, Mechatronics) and on track to achieve a 2:2 or above.
- Industrial experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- A systematic approach to problem solving.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work diligently as an individual, with minimum supervision, or as part of a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent IT skills (in particular Excel, PowerPoint etc).
