About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Medicine team as a Team Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team and providing advanced specialist assessments and interventions to patients with complex medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Acute Medicine team and provide clinical guidance and support to team members
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans for patients with complex medical conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication
  • Manage a small complex caseload and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Provide training and supervision to junior staff members and students
  • Contribute to the development of the team and the department through participation in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities

Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy (BSc/MSc)
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Evidence of relevant postgraduate courses/CPD
  • Membership of relevant specialist group
  • Leadership training
  • Coaching/supervision training
