About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sampling and Preparation Analyst to join our team at Olympic Park, Dundonald, UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out sampling and sample preparation procedures in accordance with ASTM and ISO International Standards.

Working closely with the Deputy Sampling & Sample Prep Manager, the candidate will ensure that an effective and high-quality service is provided to meet reporting deadlines on the various types of samples/commodities submitted to the laboratory for analytical evaluation.

To ensure full compliance with the company's ISO 17025 accreditation, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately sort and weigh waste samples into appropriate categories as detailed in the specific analysis sort sheets.
  • Collect samples, which will include driving a range of vehicles up to and including a 3.5 tonne Luton box van.
  • Liaise with the public if necessary and record any on-site observations.
  • Record and keep safe all analysis data, maintain confidentiality of sample materials and analysis data.
  • Assist with the preparation of samples for chemical and moisture analysis as required.

Desirable

  • Minimum 1 year experience of inspection and sample preparation analysis, in particular working with coal/biomass and RDF business streams desirable but not essential.
