About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sampling and Preparation Analyst to join our team at Olympic Park in the UK.

As a Sampling and Preparation Analyst, you will be responsible for carrying out sampling and sample preparation procedures in accordance with ASTM and ISO International Standards.

Working closely with the Deputy Sampling & Sample Prep Manager (All Fuel Streams), you will ensure that an effective and high-quality service is provided to meet reporting deadlines on various types of samples/commodities submitted to the laboratory for analytical evaluation.

Your role will involve:

  • Accurately sorting and weighing waste samples into appropriate categories as detailed in analysis sort sheets.
  • Recording and maintaining confidentiality of sample materials and analysis data.
  • Collecting samples, which may involve driving company vehicles, and ensuring they are safely operated and returned clean and full of fuel.
  • Liaising with the public and recording on-site observations.
  • Assisting with the preparation of samples for chemical and moisture analysis as required.

Desirable

Minimum 1 year experience in inspection and sample preparation analysis, preferably in coal/biomass and RDF business streams.
