Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced 7.5T Delivery Driver to join our team. As a 7.5T Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering heavy goods and furniture to customers' homes, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lift and manoeuvre customers' orders, including beds, mattresses, and/or bedroom furniture, to the room of the customer's choice as part of a 2-man delivery team.
  • Engage all customers by communicating in a warm, friendly, and professional manner, ensuring they are left with a positive impression of our service, championing our products, and delivering a great customer experience.
  • Complete deliveries on time, to schedule, and ensure customers are left happy, keeping customers informed by calling ahead.
  • Use the PDA scanner and complete paperwork to ensure customers' orders are delivered correctly, promptly, and accurately, and work with warehouse and cross-dock teams as necessary to ensure products are loaded and delivered safely without damage.
  • Ensure your vehicle is clean and fit for the next delivery, monitoring for road worthiness and reporting any defects, ensuring compliance with all transport legal requirements.

Requirements:

  • UK driving licence Cat C1
  • Valid driver's CPC DQ card or valid driver's digital card
  • Previous commercial driving experience in a 7.5T vehicle
  • Previous experience and understanding of using digital tachographs
  • Good people skills and some previous experience in a customer-facing role
  • Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy items of furniture with manual handling experience
  • Understanding of EU driving legislation and tachograph law
  • Desirable experience of using a PDA
  • Age 25 years or over
