Job Description

We are seeking a skilled 7.5t Driver to join our delivery team in Dagenham. As a Customer Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering mattresses, bed frames, and furniture products into customers' homes.

About the Role
  • Lift and manoeuvre customers' orders to the room of their choice as part of a 2-man delivery team, ensuring the home is left clean and tidy.
  • Engage with customers by communicating in a warm, friendly, and professional manner, providing a positive impression of our service.
  • Complete deliveries on time, to schedule, and ensure customers are left happy, keeping them informed by calling ahead.
  • Use a PDA scanner and complete paperwork to ensure customer orders are delivered correctly, promptly, and accurately.
Requirements
  • A UK driving licence Cat C1 and a valid driver's CPC DQ card/digital card.
  • Previous commercial driving experience in a 7.5t vehicle.
  • Previous experience and understanding of using digital tachographs.
  • Good people skills and some previous experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy items of furniture with manual handling experience.
  • Understanding of EU Driving legislation and tachograph law.
