We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwife to join our team in the Maternity Day Assessment Unit at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Midwife in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to women with high-risk pregnancies, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert care to women with high-risk pregnancies, including those requiring outpatient foleys induction, ECVs, and acute scanning services.
- Work closely with consultants, community midwives, and sonographers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, including mentoring and preceptoring student midwives and nurses.
- Contribute to the development of evidence-based practice and research within the unit.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the improvement of patient care.
- Registered Midwife with current NMC registration.
- MSPP qualification.
- Experience as a preceptor Midwife and ability to mentor student midwives and nurses.
- Completion of mentor assessor workshops.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical skills, including suturing, cannulation, and supervision of epidural infusion.
- Computer literacy and ability to use electronic patient records.
- Knowledge of NMC Code of Conduct, Guidelines, and Professional Practice.
- Awareness and knowledge of vulnerable adult and child Protection issues.
