Transport Operations Compliance Specialist

About the role
As a Maintenance Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the fleet of commercial vehicles is compliant, legal, and maintained to the highest standards at all times. This includes monitoring all maintenance activities, building relationships with commercial drivers and transport managers, and ensuring all documentation is stored on the fleet management system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with Operator License Legal Undertakings, DVSA Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness, and M Group Transport Operations Policy's.
- Building relationships with commercial drivers, operational and transport managers to ensure full compliance of commercial vehicles.
- Ensuring all commercial vehicle maintenance and driver-related documentation is stored on the fleet management system, exception reports are actioned and updated.
- Liaising daily with internal and external maintenance providers to ensure maintenance is completed on time and vehicles returned.
- Assisting the line manager with the transition of new business units to M Group Services.
Requirements include:
- A category B driving license.
- IT literacy and experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Fleet management system experience would be beneficial.
