Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at a leading recycling plant in Northampton. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair work to minimize production losses.
  • Work closely with production and hygiene teams to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Provide front-line engineering support to all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic machinery.
  • Adopt a proactive approach to maintenance, working on new machinery and equipment to ensure they are installed and commissioned correctly.
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks on facilities and site services.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience, with a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Hold relevant engineering qualifications and certifications.
  • Experience working in a recycling or process industry is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a confident and approachable demeanor.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, plus overtime.
