Are you an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician with a background in food production, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), or packaging? This position offers a chance to join a leading global organization specializing in bakery ingredients and industry expertise.

As a versatile Facilities Maintenance Technician, either with an Electrical or Mechanical focus, you will be tasked with managing breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of the production equipment on-site, following a 6am-6pm continental day shift schedule.

Your role will involve taking responsibility for on-site challenges and collaborating with the team to efficiently resolve issues, ensuring minimal downtime.


Key Responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Technician:

• Conduct daily maintenance of production machinery.

• Execute planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, and all related system activities, while monitoring repair durations and mean time between failures, and identifying new methods or procedures to enhance efficiency.

• Provide maintenance assistance to production teams to guarantee optimal equipment performance.

• Maintain accurate and timely records in the maintenance management system regarding all tasks performed, root causes identified, and spare parts utilized.

• Comply with all company safety standards and risk assessments for maintenance activities, performing dynamic risk assessments as necessary.

• Prioritize food safety while ensuring machinery is maintained effectively.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as directed.


Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Recognized engineering qualification, at least a level 3 City and Guilds.

• Multi-skilled approach with either a Mechanical or Electrical bias.

• Experience working with manufacturing equipment.

• Preferably a background in Food Production or FMCG.

• Proficient in fault finding on PLCs.

• NEBOSH or IOSH certification is advantageous.
