Prison Based Reading and Numeracy Programme

We are committed to addressing low literacy levels amongst people in prison. This role will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme at HMP Birmingham.

As a skilled and empathetic individual, you will work closely with the prison staff, people in prison, and our volunteers to maximise opportunities for learning. Ideally, you will have some experience of prison settings and be able to build strong relationships based on resilience, determination, and problem-solving skills.

The role is fixed term until October 2025, with the opportunity to become permanent subject to contract renewal.
