About the Role:
Chefs Bay Hospitality is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our caf in a community youth hub in Liverpool. This is a temporary ongoing position, with the potential for permanence for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily caf operations, including budgeting, stock control, and hygiene, to ensure a high-quality food service supporting youth programs and managing catering for events.
- Supervise and develop the caf team, conduct appraisals, and manage schedules to maintain a productive and efficient work environment.
- Coordinate catering for events, ensuring resources and budgets are in place, and collaborate with the Youth Manager on food provision for youth programs.
- Maintain financial procedures, stock orders, and supplier relationships to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding regulations, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Develop and implement a menu that is nutritious and meets the needs of the local community and service users.
- Prepare and deliver cold drinks and meals to a high standard.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Professional Catering/Hospitality or recognized Catering qualification.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Essential).
- Substantial experience in catering management, youth/community settings, and performance management.
- Strong communication, budget management, and team leadership skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and promote continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of meeting dietary requirements for different cultures, including halal foods and recipes.
- A basic DBS is required; if you have one, great; if not, you must be happy to obtain one.
Working Conditions:
- 36 hours per week.
- Pay: £16.50 per hour, with holiday pay paid weekly, and £18.49 per hour.
