Job Summary:

New Balance is seeking a highly skilled Senior Apparel Product Development Manager to lead the development of high-quality products that meet business objectives for the Global Inline Apparel business. The successful candidate will work closely with the VP Product Development and R&D Director peers to develop and implement R&D strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the global athletic apparel marketplace, including fabric innovations and trends, performance and athletic constructions, and supporting creation approaches. They will lead collaboration across Product Management, Design, Material Design, Material Development, Planning, Sourcing, and Quality to drive success from planning to delivery and end-user satisfaction.

The Senior Apparel Product Development Manager will also be responsible for hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and providing professional development of world-class R&D talent. They will demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and will work to create a culture of respect and inclusivity within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of high-quality products that meet business objectives for the Global Inline Apparel business
  • Work closely with the VP Product Development and R&D Director peers to develop and implement R&D strategy

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the global athletic apparel marketplace, including fabric innovations and trends, performance and athletic constructions, and supporting creation approaches
  • Proven ability to lead collaboration across Product Management, Design, Material Design, Material Development, Planning, Sourcing, and Quality to drive success from planning to delivery and end-user satisfaction
