Job Title: Neonatal Staff Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Neonatal Staff Nurse to join our dynamic team at the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Birmingham.

About the Role:

As a Neonatal Staff Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to newborns, including those who are premature or critically ill. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized care to neonates in the Neonatal Unit.
  • Monitor and assess the health of newborns, identifying any changes in condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Support and educate parents and families, providing emotional and practical support.
  • Collaborate with doctors, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
  • QIS trained.
  • Experience in neonatal nursing – Supporting and involving family-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
