About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Mencap. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, providing support and care to enable them to live independently and fulfill their potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals, including assistance with daily activities, bathing, showering, and using the bathroom.
  • Support individuals to live independently, including budget management, paying bills, housework, and organizing appointments.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, promoting their understanding of the world around them and supporting their social inclusion.
  • Assist individuals in accessing and participating in their local community and social events, promoting life skills and individuality.
Requirements
  • No experience is required, but a passion for making a difference in the lives of others is essential.
  • A full UK Driver's License is required for this role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to build strong relationships with individuals and their families.
