About the Role

The successful candidate will work on a project funded by the Sustainable Chemicals and Materials Manufacturing Hub (SCHEMA) to develop heterogeneous catalysts for the production of diols from biomass.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate catalysts in biomass transformation to valuable chemicals
  • Collaborate with the research team to design and synthesize new catalysts
  • Characterize and test catalysts using liquid phase catalysis testing

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in chemistry or chemical engineering and a strong background in liquid phase catalysis testing and catalyst synthesis and characterization.
