Job Summary

At Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, we are seeking a highly skilled Associate Sustainability Director to join our team. In this role, you will work across various divisions and services to support the leadership team in delivering sustainability tasks and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinating with internal divisions and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  2. Supporting and advising internal and external project teams in achieving specific sustainability strategies and solutions.
  3. Mentoring and directing junior colleagues to ensure their professional development and task delivery is successful.
  4. Undertaking day-to-day service line management responsibility for nominated team members.
  5. Understanding and implementing the technical quality audit system.
  6. Proactively participating and managing team development activities, transfer of knowledge, and mentoring junior colleagues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in evaluating state-of-the-art building designs and energy-efficiency technologies.
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical systems and controls.
  • Ability to develop detailed energy models with eQuest or other simulation software.
  • Experience working within the architectural design process.
  • Excellent presentation, writing, and documentation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
