Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Van Driver to join our team at RMB Driving Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting materials between customer locations and making deliveries directly to customers' facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Goods Safely and Efficiently: You will be responsible for delivering goods to designated locations in a timely manner, completing all drops, which can be up to 3 per day.
  • Comply with Traffic Laws and Company Regulations: You must comply with all traffic laws and company safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain Vehicle Condition: You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and operational vehicle, ensuring it is always ready for use.
  • Represent the Company: You will represent the company well in interactions with customers and the general public, providing excellent customer service.
  • Gain Local Knowledge: You will gain a thorough understanding of the local area and most efficient routes to optimize delivery times.
  • Complete Collections and Installs: You will be required to assist with collections and installs of customers' equipment for each delivery.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Operate Company Vehicles: You will operate company vehicles to make pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods.
  • Load and Unload Vehicles: You will assist with loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring goods are handled with care.
  • Complete Safety Checklists: You will complete pre- and post-trip safety and operations checklists and documentation to ensure compliance with company regulations.
  • Use Navigational Technology: You will use navigational technology to find and follow optimal routes, reducing delivery times and improving efficiency.
  • Assist with Vehicle Inspections: You will assist with regular vehicle inspections, arranging maintenance when required to ensure vehicles are always in good working condition.
  • Communicate with the Transport Office: You will communicate with the transport office regularly, advising of any issues that have arisen during deliveries.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License: You must hold a valid driver's Van license (3.5t).
  • Ability to Drive for Extended Periods: You must be able to drive for extended periods, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
  • Strong Commitment to Safety: You must have a strong commitment to safety, adhering to company regulations and traffic laws.
  • Excellent Navigational Skills: You must have excellent navigational skills, able to find and follow optimal routes.
  • Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills: You must have good communication and interpersonal skills, able to represent the company well in interactions with customers and the general public.
  • Driving Record: You must have no more than 6 points on your license and no DD, DR, or CD endorsements.
