Residential Team Leader Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Team Leader to join our team at Voyage Care. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Service and Deputy Manager and acting as the point of contact for the rest of the team when the Locality Manager is off-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individual support plans, including assessments and relevant risk assessments for new service users.
- Encourage service users to take an active role in daily living and ensure the appropriate level of individual care and support is identified.
- Manage the review and maintenance of all support plans to ensure ongoing suitability of the support provided.
- Assist with daily care, including personal care and assisting with bathing, to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
- Participate in and assist with planning and arranging daily outings, holidays, or recreational pursuits to support service users.
- Build working relationships and engage in positive communication with service users, families, advocates, and other professional colleagues.
- Undertake and/or assist with household activities, such as cooking, mealtimes, laundering, and cleaning, to promote a healthy environment.
- Record and complete documentation to ensure accurate and informative records, observations, or other documents.
- Ensure all service users have up-to-date medications and MAR charts, in accordance with the company's Administration of Medication Policy.
- Maintain compliance and support staff through coordination and completion of supervision, appraisal, and team meetings.
- Attend, participate, and contribute to relevant multi-disciplinary meetings for service users.
- Ensure high standards of care and support are delivered through proactive auditing.
Requirements:
- Experience of working in various settings and with people with different support needs.
- Experience of maintaining accurate basic financial records.
- Experience of writing or contributing to the writing of detailed support plans.
- Experience of supervising and taking ongoing responsibility for a team.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation.
- Knowledge of support planning and person-centred planning.
- Ability to work as part of a team and without supervision.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and deal with unexpected issues.
- Good communication skills and ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
Working Hours:
The successful candidate will be required to work a mix of on-rota and off-rota time, including weekdays, weekends, split shifts, wake nights, sleep-in, and bank holidays as required.
Driving Requirements:
A full UK driving licence and own transport are required for this role.
