About the Role
We are excited to be recruiting for a Tutor for Prisoner Rehabilitation Programs to join our team at HMP Millsike. In this role, you will deliver impactful Peer Mentoring qualifications to small groups, developing peer mentors who will support fellow prisoners in areas such as literacy, digital skills, and neurodiverse needs.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Deliver training programs that promote digital literacy, literacy, and neurodiverse needs support.
• Work closely with healthcare and prison staff to ensure effective peer advocacy training.
• Allocate prisoners to peer mentoring roles based on their skills and position needs.
• Develop and monitor Individual Learning Plans, providing guidance to support each learner's success.

Requirements and Qualifications
A minimum of a Level 3 qualification (or above) in Peer Mentoring, Literacy, or a related field is required.
A recognised teaching qualification such as PTLLS, AET, CET, or equivalent (Level 5 teaching qualification is highly desirable).
Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with learners.
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Salary and Benefits
This role comes with a competitive salary of approximately £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.
