We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Prison Vocational Cover Tutor to join our team at PeoplePlus. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering hands-on instruction across various vocational subjects, including Barbering, Carpentry & Joinery, Bricklaying, Multi-Skills Construction, Plumbing, Barista Training, and Painting & Decorating.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, hands-on lessons across multiple vocational areas, adapting to learner needs and covering for regular tutors to ensure consistency.
  • Highlight employability skills like teamwork, communication, and professionalism, and integrate digital literacy relevant to each trade, such as digital inventory tracking.
  • Conduct daily tool and equipment checks, adhere to secure management protocols, and prioritize health and safety in each session.

The ideal candidate will have relevant vocational qualifications or extensive hands-on experience in fields such as Carpentry, Plumbing, or Barbering, and a commitment to adaptive, inclusive teaching. A recognized teaching qualification (PTLLS, AET, CET) or willingness to achieve one is also required.

Estimated Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 per annum.
