Velindre Cancer Centre is a leading provider of specialist services across Wales, operating from our cutting-edge Velindre Cancer Centre and award-winning Welsh Blood Service.


We are seeking an experienced Directorate Support Officer to join our team, providing wide-ranging administrative support to the Radiation Services programme.


Main Duties



  • Provide robust coordination and administration to support the Radiation Services programme at Velindre Cancer Centre.
  • Support the Head of Radiation Services and the wider directorate team, focusing on administration and support to Service Managers.
  • Assist with business cases, policy development, and project management.

Requirements



  • Previous NHS experience at a junior management level.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience of using Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to influence others, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively to complete projects and tasks.
  • Able to understand the principles of confidentiality and maintain a high level of professionalism.

Desirable



  • Ability to speak Welsh at Level 1.
  • Project management experience and knowledge of NHS systems and procedures.
