About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at NEAS. As a Teaching Assistant - Specialist Support, you will play a vital role in supporting autistic and neurodivergent children and young people to access highly personalized programs of study in one of our specialist schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work independently and as part of a team to support children and young people with autism and neurodiverse needs
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting social and emotional well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless delivery of educational programs
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment, promoting respect and understanding among students, staff, and families
Requirements
  • Ability to work with children and young people with autism and neurodiverse needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
